ABOUt

Aysia Tse (b. Singapore 2001) is an emerging artist and community organizer who explores movement-based media work with themes relating to disability, queerness, and her mixed diasporic identity. She is a competitive artistic (synchronized) swimmer who is currently researching and creating work at the intersections of water, body, politics, and movement.

 

Aysia has worked in various community arts organizations, publications and symposiums including MABELLEarts, Workman Arts, Arts Etobicoke, STEPS Public Art, Planned Parenthood Toronto, and Femme Art Review. She has exhibited work at Trinity Square Video, Xpace Cultural Centre, Ignite Gallery, TIFF Bell Lightbox, Long Winter TO and the Rendezvous with Madness Festival, and continues to organize exhibitions, workshops, and community events through her role as an organizer of the Shoes Off Collective.
